Terms of Service

Effective date: May 7, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tailor Shopify app ("Tailor", the "App"), operated by Stefano Giordano ("we", "us", "our"), an individual developer based in Italy.

By installing or using Tailor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. The service

Tailor is a Shopify app that enables Shopify merchants to:

Configure product option groups with custom fields and values
Assign per-value pricing modifiers (Wombat-style inline pricing)
Manage multiple price lists ("listini") with customer-tag-based segmentation
Define volume/quantity-based discount brackets (percentage or fixed amount per unit)
Apply configurators to entire collections, not just individual products
Render a configurator block on the storefront via Shopify Theme App Extension
Create temporary "phantom variants" with the configured price for clean cart and order workflows

Tailor is provided "as a service" — you do not download or own the underlying software.

2. Eligibility

To use Tailor you must operate a valid Shopify store, be the authorised representative of the merchant, comply with Shopify's Terms of Service and the Shopify Partner Program Agreement, and be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction).

3. Plans and billing

3.1 Plans

Basic — $14.99/month — 100 products, 25 option groups, 1 price list, bulk apply
Pro — $79/month — Unlimited products, multi-tier price lists, volume discounts, per-list value overrides, customer role mapping via tags, advanced layout, bulk apply
Ultra — $149/month — Everything in Pro plus customer role detection via metafields, storefront tooltips

All plans include a 14-day free trial.

3.2 Billing

Billing is handled exclusively via the Shopify Billing API — your payment method on file with Shopify is charged by Shopify, not by us. Subscription is monthly recurring, charged at the start of each billing period. After the free trial ends, your store is automatically charged for the selected plan. You can change or cancel your plan anytime from the App's Billing section. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period (no proration).

3.3 Refunds

Because billing is handled by Shopify and most charges are non-refundable, we do not offer monetary refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will work with Shopify on a case-by-case basis.

3.4 Price changes

We may adjust plan prices with at least 30 days advance notice via in-app notice or email. Price changes apply to the next billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
Bypass authentication, rate limits, or other security mechanisms
Manipulate prices via browser tools to obtain goods at incorrect prices (the App enforces server-side price recalculation; tampering attempts are logged)
Resell or sublicense access to the App without our written consent
Use the App in a way that interferes with or disrupts other merchants' use of the service
Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Your data and content

You retain all rights to your store data and the content you create in the App. By using the App you grant us a limited license to host and process this data solely to provide the service described in these Terms.

We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible. Downtime caused by Shopify outages, hosting provider outages, force majeure, or merchant misconfiguration is not our responsibility.

We do not commit to a specific SLA for the Basic plan. For Pro and Ultra plans, we commit to commercially reasonable effort to maintain >99% monthly uptime.

7. Modifications to the service

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. Material changes that reduce existing functionality on a paid plan will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. We may also modify these Terms; the "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Termination

You may uninstall Tailor at any time from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstall: your subscription is cancelled at the end of the current billing period; your data is retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted; we honor Shopify GDPR webhooks (shop/redact, customers/redact).

We may terminate your access for violation of these Terms or non-payment. In case of termination by us for cause, no refund is due.

9. Intellectual property

Tailor, including its source code, design, and brand assets (name, logo, copy), is owned by Stefano Giordano. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our IP except the limited license to use the App.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly compatible with every Shopify theme. We test on Shopify Dawn theme; compatibility with other themes is best-effort.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are NOT liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. We are NOT liable for damages caused by Shopify, third-party themes, or your customers' actions. This limitation applies even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases the maximum permitted limitation applies.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App in violation of these Terms; content or data you submit; your violation of applicable law; your violation of any third-party right (including IP).

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Genoa, Italy. If you are a consumer in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.

14. Miscellaneous

Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
No waiver: failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right
Entire agreement: these Terms (with the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App
Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all our assets
